Pipe Rework

The pipe now has an inventory that allows you to load it. Right-click while sneaking to open the window. Items that have ‘Smokeable’ in their tooltip will now provide a variety of buffs designed to help you round out your character’s combat abilities:

This should help some of the classes versus some of the more frustrating mobs (looking at you air elementals that take people to the sky). It should also help you use up some of those previously useless items building up in your storage.

Mostly a few popular mods to help with performance, but also a mod to add more weather options as I was getting tired of world-wide rain.

The Green Knight is unlocked with the brand new Desperate Icon, which can be created from sticks and a sapling.

Abilities

Brine Wizard

A healing effect has been added to Geysers effect on allies to help extend the utiltiy and survivability of the Brine Wizard.

Gameplay

Projectiles can now critical hit as well. MKX now includes ranged critical integration for the various throwables found in Spartan Weaponry.

The hit scan for many abilities was made a little larger, so targeting should be a little easier now.

There were a lot of changes to classes as well, with some overall balancing of mana totals and mana costs on spells to be more in-line with the most recent development. In general you will find you can use your abilities more often.

Brawler

Stunning shout now has damage and is a line attack.

Yaup will now give the brawler a boost in critical hit.

Druid

Druids heal has been made significantly cheaper as it was one of the most expensive spells in game.

Wave Knight

Wave Dash now causes physical damage instead of magic.

Skald

Kanye Cutter now causes physical damage instead of magic.

KP Dark Wail has increased magical damage now.

Wet Wizard

Wet Wizard has been renamed to Brine Wizard

Standalone MK-Ultra Overhaul

We have completed a long overdue overhaul as we bring the mod fully from 1.9 to 1.12. As part of this overhaul we’ve gotten rid of the Power and Steam Advantage mods as they are in a very shaky state, having been abandoned for some time and with major changes coming around the corner. In addition, Better With Mods exists now, and it didn’t used to. So we ripped out the Advantage line and replaced it with Better With Mods.

This means a few blocks and items will disappear. We will no longer need our own Hemp blocks, seeds, and leaves as Better With Mods also implements those and does so in a more complete way, we were also copying BTW back in 1.9 before BWM existed. We’re super excited they went the extra mile and brought all those mechanics up to speed.

Major changes have been made to separate the mod out from its dependencies. Now MK-Ultra is only dependent on the targeting-api mod, everything else is optional. You will notice a new mkultrax mod which covers all these optional integrations, it will automatically detect the following mods at the moment:

More mod support will come as we identify opportunities to integrate with other mods that fit with the vision.

The Launcher will continue to download all the dependencies that we consider to be the ‘core’ experience and which we run on server.minekraft-ultra.com, but we will be publishing our mods stand-alone on CurseForge soon for those of you who wish to assemble your own custom mix.

We’ve added several mods to flesh out other avenues of gameplay, basic compatibilities have already been built into MK-Ultra and we will be evaluating further integrations: * The Betweenlands * Ice and Fire * Astral Sorcery

We’ve also introduced a custom-built compatibility mod for Spartan Weaponry and Ice and Fire. In addition a new MK-Ultra Compatibility mod that contains the integrations for the abovementioned mods called ‘MKUltraX’ has been introduced.

Minecolonies:

Minecolonies has been updated to their latest master. We have also altered the permission system for colonies a little. You will now be able to fight, shoot arrows, and pickup items in everyones colonies. All other permissions will remain as they have been.

A new critical hit system has been introduced for melee attacks and spells.

You have a base rate of 5% to melee critical hit and 10% to spell critical hit. The default critical damage rate is 1.5x.

The weapon you are using will add to the base critical rate as well as change the damage multiplier.

Mods

We are introducing a new mod to provide a lot more variations on weapons. Spartan Weaponry both fits the theme and design of MK-Ultra and does a lot better job at weapons than we were doing.

The no-shield logic for our spears has been expanded to cover: Greatswords, Katanas, Crossbows, Halberds, Warhammers, Longbows, Bows, and Pikes.

Items

We have introduced a fire extinguisher item that works with all types of fire, including modded. You can make them by surrounding a bucket of water with glass bottles in the crafting table. When used all fires within a 16 x 8 x 16 area will be consumed.

Durability for all armor sets has been increased.

Abilities

Fire extinguishing effects were added to abilities where it makes thematic sense for Wet Wizards and Wave Knights.

AI

Pets and summons should now consider farm animals friendly and not attack them.

Druid’s ultimate has received a major rework, it is now a much more offensively oriented flight mode that reduces all your cooldowns and adds a new secondary projectile effect to the Druid’s flameblade.

Skald has been reworked entirely to have mechanics just like the Everquest 1 bard. You can now properly twist your songs.

Gameplay

Targeting has been improved significantly. Pets will no longer fight teammates, Minecolonies guards will now fight Lycanites Mobs. Your hostile spells will respect summons, pets, and mounts.

Classes

Updated Archer so that their shots do more damage, making them more effective against things immune to poison or fire.

Armor

Added Diamond-Dusted Invar, the first magic heavy armor.

Mithril Armor was buffed to provide more armor.
